Going on vacation can often throw off your healthy eating if you are already on the journey of eating right, but it does not have to be that way.

Here are some helpful tips to help you stay healthy and still enjoy everything that comes with VACATION:

  1. Prepare Your Mind:

    Often when we are on vacation, we tend to take off the healthy habit cap and put on the vacation indulgence cap on. After all, vacation is about relaxing, trying new food, experiencing new cultures and indulging in all the goodies that comes with the destination. Preparing your mind ahead of time is one of the keys to stay healthy, this also requires you to plan ahead of time. Plan how often you want to indulge or prepare your mind to just take bits or even say no to certain foods or treats. Don’t give up if it does not work out the first time, try over again.

2. Local Grocery is Your Friend:

Find out the local grocery store while on vacation and explore the regional foods and vegetables. Store up on healthy snacks and even make your own breakfast if you can. Time to explore the local fruits for your smoothies and veg out.

3. You are on vacation, Enjoy the food:
While on vacation, be on vacation and enjoy the different cuisine that comes with it. The trick is not to feast on all the delicious food around you but sample them. Instead of ordering off the main menu, it’s okay to order small samples. MODERATION is the key!
